"Big Jake" starring John Wayne was also quite popular.

Liberace, Joan Crawford, Walter Matthau and comedienne Joan Rivers were guests on The Merv Griffin Show.


Led Zeppelin played at Liverpool University

On this date:

One of the top movies was George Lucas' first movie "THX 1138".
I remember seeing that at the movie theater when it first came out and I hate to admit it but thought it was kind of boring.
Mr. Lucas came a long way.
